The head of London's Olympic Organizing Committee says there is much Vancouver has done right for its Games and it plans to copy many of the city's best practices when it stages the Summer Olympics in 2012.

    Edit: This is unconfirmed, but one of my coworkers says the British shooting teams will have to do their training in Switzerland due to the UK's ridiculously restrictive gun laws. Anyone know anything about this?

    HD forum members report owning a gun is basically impossible in Britain.

    I would imagine the restrictions could make a possibility.

    It seems entirely plausible considering that Canadian shooters from Toronto trying out or practicing for the team couldn't practice at Toronto's gun clubs and shooting ranges.
