The RCMP say a 48-year-old man was found dead after his boat sank at Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring Island, north of Victoria.

    That's a shame about the fisherman.

    Those winds were amazing last night. They woke me up around 3:00 am and I swore the tree in the neighboring lot was going to come through my window. Never really got back to sleep, you could hear stuff outside banging away. We had some damage where I work, nothing too serious though. Nasty night.

    Yeah, about the same thing here, glad they took out those old Cottonwoods last year. But you have to say, the afternoon was fantastic, out in Coquitlam it was sunny and beautiful, the thermometer was up to about 16C.
