n Italy, where winters are generally milder, heavy snow and subfreezing temperatures were causing havoc. In Sicily, the Defence Ministry dispatched helicopters to ferry civil protection crews to people in need of urgent medical care.

    Police appealed Sunday to Poles to alert police if they come across homeless or drunk people lying outdoors,


    Don't laugh, happens more often than you would think over here.

    And yes it was a nice storm.

    It makes for a nice mess in the air. Washington DC's airports were closed, almost all flights out of NYC were cancelled and runways are still closed, half of the Western-Europe airports have cancelled flights... What a mess...

    Oh, well that is just concrete proof of AGW. My God, after almost 70 years the temp almost reached it's record high.
