The B.C. coroner has used DNA to identify a foot that washed up on shore on the Fraser River last month as belonging to a dead man from the Vancouver area.

    Was there a chance that it belonged to someone that was still alive?

    Not necessarily. He could have been on vacation in Sumatra.

    Reminds me of a body recovery in Lake Ontario. After three months in the water, somebody on shore noticed a couple of sneakers bobbing on the surface. With the body still attached.
