Tests are turning up dangerous levels of lead in children's jewelry and the federal government can't compel companies to recall the toxic trinkets, an auditor's report reveals.

    If the companies won't comply, simply publish their names and findings in newspapers and electric media sources. That will force them to comply, when nobody is buying their products.

    Thats why these guys have high-priced lawyers and PR firms, to stiffle negative publicity and spread positive publicity. News outlets spike or spin stories like that all the time due to legal threats from big corporations. And the consumer cant possibly remember and keep track of all the different brand names and their associated scandals when theyre out shopping, so even when these kind of stories do get out, the drop in sales is often minimal and temporary.
