TOKYO � Japan's new prime minister should keep his word and give official apology and compensation to women across Asia who were forced into sex slavery during the Second World War, a South Korean victim said Wednesday, representing dozens of others.

    I wouldn't be too surprised at this. I don't think they'll ever really cop to what they did during the Second World War

    Japanese schools have long been criticized for teaching that World War Two more or less didn't happen. Most Japanese kids believe the USA nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki to prevent Japan from competing with the USA on the global market.

    Is that serious? I looked long and hard to verify that story and I can't find a single reference.
