The Liberal Party filed a notice of motion of no-confidence Monday because it no longer trusts the Conservative minority government, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said.

    I think before you try to topple a government it is incumbent on the party leader to say what he would do in the government's place. Ignatieff has been short on policy prescription ever since he became leader. As far as I am concerned he has made no case for an election.
