The federal government has established a collaboration protocol to better communicate information about the swine flu virus to First Nations communities.

    Under the protocol, the two ministries will develop "culturally appropriate" modes of communication


    What does that mean? Don't you use the means of communications available? Phone, e-mail, snail mail, radio? Or put it another way, what form of communication is culturally appropriate?

    If the body bag fiasco led to a workable arrangement then so much the better; it's a pity though that they couldn't have done this back in the spring when H1N1 was first detected.
