To me this is a slap in the face to us in the service of this country who have served or are currently serving in this particular theater. We are good enough to keep the fight on foreign soil away from the Olympics, or to spend months away from our families in BC as an olympic security force, but considered the "retarded kid" nobody wants to talk about.

Oh sure I can see THAT happening.

"Excuse me, mr. taliban warlord? Would you mind terribly agreeing to a cease fire during the olympic games?"

Gimmie a fuckin break. I'm with you PEN!!

    Who are you blaming again?

The Foreign Affairs Department says the motion reflects the goals of the UN and the Olympic movement, and Canada's resolution will include additional language about including natives and people with disabilities.

Vancouver Olympic organizers say they won't be asking Ottawa to make any changes to operations in Afghanistan during the Games.

So if this is coming from the federal government then you are saying it isn't right? Thats your official position because I'm sure if this had happened under the Libs they would be absolved of all blame right?

Could be another Desperate Liberal brand "scandel of the day" but I think it's just shitty reporting. You did notice there's not one name in that report, didn't you?

If you want to run around saying that Harper wants an olympic time out, go ahead.

Except that I didn't blame the government. I actually read that he report was to vague but you were all to willing to attack the VOC and you are all to willing to claim the whole thing is a "Liberal manufactured scandal" despite the fact that all your examples are BS.

What will you say if it turns out Harper's government did issue this edict?

    "well I don't agree but ......".
