"Every passenger that we've talked to will remember this experience for the rest of their lives, and they feel like Gander's a second home," said Brokaw

A second home? Because someone let them stay in their house when times were tough?
    Exagaration anyone?

Although it is fantastic that people did this there, 8 years ago, I think it is kinda not done to use it to promote the Olympics... But maybe that is just me... :?

You might not have much experience with Newfies Bren. Yes, they would be considered part of the family now. It's just how Newfs are.

I had people stay with me too, and I still keep in touch.

No no, that is not what I meant.
Brokaw said THE PASSENGERS think of it as a second home... I doubt that...
