Nearly two weeks after being fired as the head of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Kelly McDougald said she is suing the provincial government for what she says was "severe and unjustified" action against her.
"ridenrain" said Letting the CEO resolve the problem would have been better than firing the whole board. That reeks of a desperate cover up.
According to the story the whole board resigned (probably just lip service to avoid firing granted). More like blame defection than cover up, but still as CEO she should have been aware and able to curb these activities instead of letting their accounts payable clerks just sign off on whatever thay wanted. I think she will probably win her case in the end though.
It would have been just like Dingwald defending his "entitlements" because he wrote the expense policy. I agree though that she'll probably win though. Usually, they are paid to stay quitet through huge severence bonuses.
Screw her.. she should have been arrested. There were more scandals and fraud during her employment than ever.. She deserved to be fired..hope she only ends up with a free scratch ticket
