North America's only strategic NATO command and they give the position to a European (and a Frenchman at that) before a Canadian.

I think Canada is pretty under-fucking-appreciated...

I agree. Has NATO ever been under Canadian command? The French military number
one military strategy is to surrender.

There have been a number of occasions over the year in the States when we lament
that it is too late to give France back to the Germans, but then again France is
surrendering itself a piece at a time to radical Islam. Forgive me I'm getting a
    bit off the subject.

I would be a lot more comfortable seeing NATO under Canadian Command than French
command. The Canadians military knows what they are doing.

France hasn't been a solid supporter of NATO and even left in 1966, asking all NATO forces to get out. This is the sort of pandering UN type selection that makes Iran head of the UN security council.
I'm sure a whole lot of NATO partners in Afghanistan are grumbling over this and even more Euro-weeny Euro members are looking for this to be their big withdrawl. It's wthe wrong thing to do.

Thinking we'll need to get a bunch of rifle cleaning kits too. Once they've been dropped, they'll need a good cleaning.
