What a wonderful Vancouver love story.
Drug dealer marries stripper and they have substance dependant baby who fulfills the family tradition and becomes a crack addict.

What a "progressive" little love story.

Watt gave Roberta money and pot, and told her to "go out and make some friends."

On the way home from Lions Gate Hospital, one of Watt's friends broke the news. His daughter had developed a serious drug problem.

"It was such a shock to me," Watt said

When he went away on business, he would hide money in different places around their house, and call Roberta every day or two to tell her where to find stashed cash for her drug purchases.

He estimates he was giving her $10,000 a year.

Are you kidding me????? He gave this kid drugs and money and sent her to amuse herself and he is shocked she developed an addiction?? WTF is wrong with this man? He should be strung up by your balls and left to rot.

This is his own daughter and he just sold her down the river, but we are supposed to feel sorry for him because he married a crack addict stripper who OD'd their baby and he got arrested for trafficking but turned yourself around.

This is one of the most disgusting stories I have ever read.

This is far more common than most people think.

It's an ex-Vancouver mayor Sam Sullivan sort of thing to do.

Any wonder why drug fueled crime is rampent in Vancouver?

Maybe we need a Rudy Giuliani?

I don't live in Vancouver but he'd get my vote.

SUpplying your childs addiction will not help the problem, she lives in Montreal now, is she still on meth. Be responsable for your kid and your own actions, there are ways.

It was only a few days after her birthday that Watt took Roberta on a trip to Nelson to visit his dying father. Once there, Watt gave Roberta money and pot, and told her to "go out and make some friends."
She met a young couple, he 24, she 17, and the trio embarked on a drug spree, binging for 11 days on ecstasy, meth, LSD, pot and dexedrine speed.

You, sir, are an idiot. I'm not sure if this article is suppose to extract sympathy for this moron or serve as a warning to others.

I think a little of both

The fact that it even crosses his mind that this is some form of acceptable behavior is what sickens me the most. I can't imagine the amount of misery their lives have brought to others, let alone to themselves.

I would imagine many liberal types would see them all as victims. I see them all as criminals.
