CFB VALCARTIER, Que. -- On a day of grim news from Afghanistan, Defence Minister Peter MacKay delivered a blunt message to the U.S. and other NATO allies.

    MacKay makes a lot of sense. Let the French, Italians and/or Germans step up. They all have much larger armies than us and haven't suffered anywhere near the casualties we have.

    MacKay rocks, he is one of the few reasons I will still vote conservative.
