Crews battling the Mount McLean wildfire were reporting some success late Tuesday in their efforts to contain the blaze that has forced the evacuation of Lillooet, B.C.

    I hope for rain too, as much as I hate the wet stuff I am all for it without lightening. I got so many relatives evacuated up there....peace out to all there and safe fight to the firefighters

    BC is dryer than a popcorn fart, it could use some rain just about every where. I noticed the campfire bans are on through out the entire province.

    Actually on our drive to Vancouver last weekend, Field, Golden and Revelstoke had only a minor fire risk. It wasn't until we hit Kamloops that the fire ban and Extreme fire warnings kicked in.

    Still, the forecast was for rain on Thursday and Friday this week, and now it might not come until Sunday or Monday.
