    Good.
Rae has been pandering to the LTTE long enough that it's good that the SriLankan government took notice.

We don't like it when foreigners meddle in Canadian politics so why does Rae think he can go abroad and preach his crap there.

Like Canada isn't meddling in the affairs of foreign countries?

Ya, we should all just sit on our hands like cowards and hope the 250,000 Tamil people in government run camps are in good health.

And I should hope that if for some reason all the Conservatives, their families and children in this country were rounded up and put into camps someone from somewhere would give a rats ass about your fate. I know that is an extreme example but those are human beings over there.

Good for Rae for trying. Bravo.

Some of his quotes are amazingly stupid, but oh well, he's a politician.

Good for Sri Lanka for kicking him out, much like when Canada didn't allow George Galloway in Canada.

Rae is a liberal... did you expect any different response from ridenrain? hmmm foreign affairs is part of the government of Canada .. an interest in world affairs is good for Canada .. would you diss Clinton for doing the same.. ? doubt it

they can keep him if they want , as its not like he's doing anything useful in canada .
but then again maybe he is just doing this for the attention as his career has cooled off since iggy became leader .

Rae is the MP for Toronto Centre. He has no official position within the current government.

Like all MP's who make these trips, it's got little to do with doing what's right but doing what's best to dig up dirt on what Canada isn't doing in this Countries and provide more ammunition for attacks with the illusion that they're doing something or care about the issue.

My sentiments exactly. Rea screwed over Ontario, why would anyone think he is sincere about the Tamils.

It appears a Conservative MP tried to go as well but was rejected outright.

Conservative MP Deepak Obhrai, parliamentary secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, says he was also supposed to go to Sri Lanka this week, to check on refugee camps. But his application for a visa was denied by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Ottawa
