I didn't read the article but I don't see how a Democrats popularity would help a fringe party like the Greens.

May also says she believes her performance in the televised leaders' debates during the last election has helped Canadians realize that the Greens are not a one-issue environmental party.

She must have new rose coloured glasses.

except obama wasn't running for the greens down there . so there maybe isn't that much in common with the 2 . and many americans were just motived to remove bush from office and maybe not that into " green policies " i would suspect .

May can go ahead and play hide-and-go-fuck-herself for all I care now. She flipped an MP and couldn't hold onto him, and couldn't parlay her presence in the debate into any seats, even her own. The Green party was given a fair shake this last election, the voters spoke, and they said "no."

Dream on, Liz...one thing is for sure you're an airhead from the '60's... You probably had a VW van painted in peace signs and was a groupie for the Grateful Dead...

Yet Layton and Dion actively courted her. Now what has changed?

Only hippies or eco-punks vote for the Greens and I have little patience for either...

It will help those who support changes for the environment and I guess she believes that would help her party. Obama is pro environment and thatis why he is saying the states have to develop alternatives to oil and he will put money into alternative methods. The US reinforced the message that they will not buy Alberta's dirty oil.. guess the down turn in Alberta's economy is just the tip of the iceberg.. heaven help you if they decide Tim Hortons serves dirty coffee..you will all be out of work lol..

It makes NO sense why an American President would prefer to purchase oil from the middle east over Alberta...

Dion's gone and Layton did no such thing.
