WASHINGTON - By turns wistful, aggressive and joking at the final news conference of his presidency, President George W. Bush vigorously defended his record Monday but also offered an extraordinary listing of his mistakes

That was a painful press conference to watch. Instead of warmly recounting his days in office as usually happens at these gatherings, he spent most of his time defending himself, and at times even seemed like he had to keep his temper in check as question after question was about his mistakes.

Oh well, only seven more sleeps... :D

I think it safe to say that bush will rank as the most incompetent president in history ever, the most damaging? - that remains to be seen.
