Canada's world junior hockey team defeated Sweden 5-1 to claim its fifth straight championship Monday night, in front of thousands of roaring fans in Ottawa.

    I am PERSONALLY responsible for this victory. I WILLED the tying goal against Russia with 5 seconds left. As soon as the icing was called, I WILLED it...I KNEW I'd won it for us. I'd never been so sure of anything in my life.

    They interviewed one of our soldiers at the game in the stands in uniform and he said our troops overseas are watching. How great would this make them feel about home. So AWESOME for us all!

    A proud nation and Team Canada sang our anthem with pride after a great victory. Good job they did! :rock:

    The game was not as good as the Russia or US game, but it was great to see them win.

    That was not just one of our soldiers, that was General Walter J. Natynczyk who just happens to be the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Forces.
