Why don't they just all get the currency checking machines that are in some stores?

Even some of the stores that have them dont use em, it sounds like the problem is under control.

I have a copy shop with a big Xerox machine and a poster that says "How good is our copier?" and a copy of an old $20 beneath.
Everyone says wow, no one has noticed the color's totally off. Shows how easy it is to pass off!
( Don't get excited to try it, the foil changes the colour. The machine embeds a traceable code. Some just don't work - they display a warning that copying money's illegal )

    Underneath the picture it says:
"Give a man a twenty and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to make a twenty and you feed him for three to five years (with time off for good behaviour)."

I don't carry cash and if you handed me two new 50's one being an obvious fake, I couldn't tell the difference. Same thing with a 10 or a 5.

I've always said that the Judge should add a 35% 'discount" (ie 35% MORE) to the jail time for being dumb enough to counterfiet Cdn money

Canadian and now the new US bills are some of the hardest in the world to counterfeit, yet some idiots still try. These morons should do very hard time because if they successfully pass bogus bills someone eventually gets stuck with them.

I am just so pissed about all the stores around here not acepting $100 bills, yet I was at the fallsview casino in Niagara Falls this weekend, and they were paying winners with them.

    NOT GOOD!!!

That is the STUPIDEST news headline I've read in a long time. "Currency counterfeiting may be on the rise"...in a recession? you think? MAY BE? We're gonna lose 10,000 manufacturing jobs in 2009. You think some folks may try some counterfeiting?
