Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as U.S. neighbour North Dakota are in a mid-December deep freeze, with temperatures as much as 15 to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year

    It's only -13 here in Edmonton today..not that bad. The weekend, however, was freaking cold.

    minus 24 but the wind is howling now about as strong as a chinook wind.Wind chill has to be way down there.

    I may be used to it but That doesnt mean I like it. :lol:
    Imagine your nose running non stop 24/7 for 6 or 7 weeks. 8O

    Of course, the reason it's so cold is because the world is so warm. Remember that! :lol:

    Oh, and it's snowing outside in Rancho Cordova right now - first time since 1941.

    its not even cold yet, suck it up, when it hits minus -34 or worse then maybe.Bring on the cold !!!!!

    My coldest night,my beard froze to my sleeping bag,things were exploding all around me and my boots froze to the floor as my heater stopped heating.I thought the -60 and 70's were bad untill We got this.

    -13 now, yes feels like -20 (whatever they say, right? ;-))
    This is what they have planned here in the mountains... Christmas will be white, but around New Year... +2 :?

    -20? I don't even button my jacket for that... :wink:

    I actually prefer -10 to when it floats around zero, mostly because driving is awful, with slushy roads during the day and ice at night.

    So do I. Its beautiful now, full sun, pretty cold, hardly any wind, clear and almost clean roads, about a ft of snow on the ground... This part of winter I love!
