In a wooded area of Mount Pleasant Cemetery where nature is left untamed, Jack Radecki scours the leafy forest floor searching for acorns from white oak trees. He finds not one.

    "It's not like the squirrels are getting them." Have you seen the vast numbers of Squirrels and Rats.. seriously have you.. they are freaking EVERYWHERE...

    But this year, it's hard to miss the massive number of acorns raining down on the New England landscape. From backyards in Northampton to city streets in Providence, many oak trees appear to be producing a healthy - if not record-breaking - crop of the nut.


    Same in California, we've got massive amounts of acorns this year. When it rained last month acorns were actually clogging street drains in some places.
