of course may will. There is talk of more backroom politics afoot.

like appointing her to the senate, THEM making her a cabinate minister in the coup coalition of the three stooges.

Big surprise! who is Elisabeth May anyway

I don't recall there being a senate election in October.

I'll bet a large portion of her supporters don't feel the same way.

What are they going to do? Vote on things with all those seats that they didn't get? Another awesome move there Elizabeth May.

Well isn't that exciting... Another desperate attempt to be relevant. I certainly hope that she doesn't get appointed to the Senate: talk about selling out your own party for personal gain.

Why does this come as no surprise:

Green Leader Elizabeth May, who is a keen supporter of the coalition, said she would be open to an appointment to the Senate so she could play a role in Mr. Dions government.

"Of course," she said. "The Green support for a coalition government is unconditional. The nearly one million people who voted Green in Canada would much prefer a coalition government that will support climate action, that will support immediate action for the economy."

Oh no. That would not be good. What happens in parliament is one thing. All those MPs were elected. But to appoint May, who was't elected, to the senate so she can serve in government would be truly undemocratic. It was shite when Harper did it with Fortier, and it would be shite for Dion to do it with May.

You know I couldn't agree more. I hate it when people try to gain control of the government and run the country when they weren't elected to do so.

Hurley, I think you are starting to get the picture here.
    Not good is it?
I respect your opinions, although I disagree with a lot of them, you always seem committed and genuine.

I think Jack has done the pandora's box thing.
He may have done it for the right reasons but it's looking bad for you NDP guys.

The Tories are not blameless, they are arrogant dickheads who have just been slapped back to reality.

For the NDP and Libs, it kinda looks slimy, bordering on semi-traitorous.

a senate appointment ? why cause she could not win her own riding to begin with ? this coalition is looking like it is going to be nothing but a bunch of sore losers who couldn't win the actual election .

and the greens have no seats in the commons so they won't even be a part of this vote .

no, but the green party is a respected party in the country. they didnt elect any members but they did get some votes. if those votes had been directed to other parties this may not be happening.

OK this is one thing i wouldn't support. I don't mind Elizabeth May, but appointing her to Senate would be wrong. But is it just her saying she would like that, no one from the Liberals is saying they would do that?
