TORONTO - A man convicted of killing his sister-in-law in India 11 years ago by dousing her in kerosene and setting her on fire will be allowed to sponsor his new wife for immigration to Canada, the Federal Court has ruled.

    Once she's here he can light her on fire too, Stupid that a convicted killer was allowed into our country to begin with.

    It's time for the Immigration and Refugee Board to make modifications to their definitions of relatives, or why a convicted murderer can sponsor anybody...period

    Brar successfully appealed the decision citing that an offence involving a "sister-in-law" is different than an offence involving a "relative" as defined by the board

    Sounds like he was a Canadian before he was charged or convicted for murdering anybody. So we have to let him back in.

    This loophole definatly needs to be fixed. Like Hyack says, why is a murderer allowed to sponser
