Gay author no longer welcome to address N.B. students

I find this to be a bit silly. However, I'm not sure it's appropriate to have an activist author represent the entire ensemble of homosexuals and bisexuals in society. They are really just like everyone else, only they have different sexual preferences. To each his own. That's all you really have to teach kids. Live and let live.

Tell that to the teenage kids of homophobic mommy and daddies. I think the schools have made an extremely bad decision here. These teens already screwed up over their sexuality now have affirmation their sexuality is a hush hush taboo subject.

I wish my school would hold an assembly like this...my school needs it.

We need to do this so future generations don't carry forward the homophobic mentality. No, there is no law we must like everyone, but that comment is a superficial one don't you think? It's not ok to beat and in some cases murder someone because they are gay, it's not ok to tell a child he/she must live his/her life in secrecy. Right now somewhere in Canada a child is about to take his/her own life because society is telling them they are wrong in their sexuality. That is NEVER ok.

Remind's me of something I saw on TV the other day,dont know what program it was but the guy said take the clam that was around millions of years ago that was born with both sexual organs and could lose the one it didnt need for survival.

Just like we need to teach this to kids in grade 2, fuck that. How about math, reading and stuff that counts. Social engineering is a leftist ploy, keep that shit out of schools. He can go and speak at some hall and have it open to all but when you bring this shit to a captive audience at school that smells of indoctrination.

If we don't bring it to a "captive audience" as you say, then the point is moot. The kids that are gay already know they are, acceptance is reached by undoing all the homophobic mumbo jumbo taught to them by their homophobic parents.
