OTTAWA -- Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz unnerved some public servants at the height of the listeriosis crisis by resorting to gallows humour during a conference call about a public health scare that has now killed 17 people.

We should ask the question,"what would Steve have done?" if he was in opposition?

Ritz is a moron. Travels around western Canada telling farmers how much better the open market will be for selling their barley. Then makes the statement in my signature. Check it out, and tell me how THAT is going to help barley growers.

And this guy is in charge of agriculture? Vote ABC, save the wheat board.

Ritz should resign. Hell, he should pull his name off the ballot and go back to his parent's farm. He could watch his family do all the work while he stood there with his thumb up his ass, just like the old days.

These comments are bad. So was cutting inspections. So was lying about it. So is everything the Conservatives have in regard to the Wheat Board, which is why the courts found them in violation of the law.

He needs to resign from the party and if he won't then Harper needs to fire him.

I know it's it's not meant to be, but that sounds a whole lot like a double entendre, Shepherd's Dog. You should put, "If ya know what I mean," after it.

How many people are dim enough to make such a statement when representing their government in an official capacity though? This isn't a joke that Ritz made in a bar or while sitting around the living room with his buddies, he did it while on an official conference call.
