Two BC Ferries sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen were cancelled Sunday due to mechanical problems

    Time for some outlandish and impossible election promises!
    Seriously, I don't think the ferry fleet has ever broken down as much or been so unreliable. Time for that bridge and a firing squad for the critics.

    Yes, the B.C. Liberals privatized the coastal ferry service in 2003. It�s just that the shares are still majority-owned by the Province of British Columbia.

    What are the fees now? I remember when walk on was $ 5.00 and I think it was $20 or $25 for the car.

    $13+$1.25 fuel surcharge per passenger
    $43.00+$4.15 fuel surcharge per car.
