Sources are reporting that Sen. John McCain has chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty as his running mate. McCain and Pawlenty will appear together at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, where Pawlenty will be officially introduced as the Republican running mate.

Until the final announcement is made, all reports on the selection are conjecture. But the swift cancellation of all of Pawlenty's appearances does appear to indicate that he will be the pick. :)

I think he will be the new VP!!

Sad, I was really hoping that he selected a women, rather than keeping in line with the old boys club. "Men only."

I think that will also turn off many PUMA supporters. (ex-Hillary supporters who flipped to McCain.)

From most of the PUMA forums, I think the only reason most Dems are flipping over to McCain is that they are racist or biggots.

at least the dems have a black guy with a white guy. i mean, c'mon pubs, you could have at least picked something more exciting than another white guy. you could have stolen a lot of swing votes if you had a native american on the ticket. but, no, it's all about the white guys with money for you!

Perhaps race wasn't a factor in deciding who would make a good VP.

I thought Pawlenty was born in the United States.

I take back what I said. Electing someone with no experience and trying to get the Hillary vote is the dumbest thing to do. I can see McCain keeling over in office, but I can't see her being able to handle the office.

Palin as VP is an EPIC move by McCain - even Hillary said nice things about her on the noon news today.

Governor Palin was also runner up for Ms. Alaska. Obama did not even place in top 10.
