Robert Thibault said Tuesday that he didn't mean to be "gender specific" when he called Marjory LeBreton, the government leader in the Senate, an "idiot" and suggested she should "go back to making tea" for former prime minister Brian Mulroney.

Hmmm, the Conservative MP who called Stronach a dog didn't resign, so why should this guy? It seems to me that you are displaying the double standard...

I don't think anybody needs to resign, but when a Conservative makes such a comment it's always typical redneck old reform party talking again bullshit comments made by Liberal supporters.

    Come on guys....storm in a tea-cup?

I think when either side tries to make political capital on silly remarks from MP's, it just comes across as 'high school'.

"Look Miss, see what EyeBrock said to hurley! It was bad and he should get detention!"

    Hardly nation building stuff chaps.

because it usually is, but that doesn't excuse the Liberals from being guilty of the same thing - they're politicians, just don't defend any of them for obviously inappropriate behaviour.

How does that make me a hypocrite?

I've never, ever been a "Liberal supporter" so I find that hard to see.
