A First Nation in southeastern British Columbia, declared legally extinct by the Canadian government more than 50 years ago, is making a land claim.

    A little exaggeration... if they don't put an end to it we simply won't have BC anymore... something like 110% of the province is "claimed".

    BC, and the Feds has better pull their heads out of their asses now.

    I was under the impression that natives did not know the concept of land ownership when Europeans arrived.

    Natives knew full well the english language by 1888 and before. Britain or Canada told them in plain english what to expect, they agreed to it be it in dollars or words. Greed is a multi way street. Don't blame the white man for that.
