Almost 20 years ago, Rev. Bill Beeny had an epiphinany or at least heeded the call to an odd sermon. A Memphis physician contacted him, explaining to the Missouri preacher that he may have proof that the King of Rock and Roll was never sacrificed at the
"Elvis was an informant to the FBI, and life was becoming unbearable for him," Beeny explains to me. "For believing he didn't die, some may label me a nut, but the evidence is compelling."
Compelling evidence you say? Let's here it:
The doctor, who made Beeny promise he would never utter his name, handed over tissue samples. One set, he claimed, was taken from Elvis when he was still alive. The other, his story went, came from the body which was eventually buried in Graceland.
The samples were shipped off to a lab. And, wouldn't you know, the remnants were from two different men.
So two tissue samples Dr. Anonymous "claims" are from living Elvis and dead Elvis turn out to be from different people?
Sure is compelling evidence... about as compelling as the notion that he was an FBI informant.
Now that should really bring up a shitload of of money...
