Taxpayers in Ontario cannot afford to continue sending the equivalent of three per cent of the province's gross domestic product to other regions, Mr. McGuinty said in a speech Tuesday to the London Chamber of Commerce.

How about reducing the bloated number of useless hacks on the city payroll?

TORONTO - City bureaucrats will fan out across Toronto this summer to analyze the angle of the sun at different times of the day, measure the amount of direct or reflected sunlight and assess the "quantity and usability" of shade in parks, playgrounds and pools.

These people, like so many others are a waste of resources and should be cut loose to go get real jobs that benefit the economy. Not just service jobs where everyone washes everyone else's laundry but something that brings in new money.

typical LIEberal, just like Miller and his merry band of idiots, blames everyone but their failed policies.

Lots of finger pointing, tax and spend but do nothing policies combined with scandals and corruption.

    how typically liberal.

Ok Liberal voters, tell me how Ontario's problems are the Federal Governments fault?

I'd have another $250 a month to spend if the 'health premium' that McGuinty brought in was revoked. I'd spend that on goods and services in Ontario. The healthcare system is just the same as it was ten years ago.
Add in one of the highest corporate tax rates in Canada and you get the picture.

Oh, nice to see our tax dollars went to help fund and build an SUV (Ford Flex) in Oakville that nobody wants to buy.
    Nicely done Dalton.

I can see where Dalton's coming from, Ontario has been suffering economically but yet they are still paying taxes to support other have-not provinces in Canada. A deal with the Federal government could benefit Ontario taxpayers, similar to the deals struck with Newfoundland and Nova Scotia to exclude resource revenues from their payments under the National Equalization program.

Easier said than done. 12 million Ontario vs 3 million in Alberta. If Corporate taxes are lowered, services go down too, if services go down, poverty will sky rocket, with that, comes crime. More criminals, more people in Jail, more law enforcement needed etc.
