Dude, the money's not going to the Burmese government, most of the money being donated by Canadians is going to aid agencies like the Red Cross or MSF, et al.

sure.. and as soon as the planes hit the ground, the supplies will be taken by the

    army, and distributed for themselves..

Yup, instead of the junta spending money to feed people, they get to take that money and buy more weapons. Hurray!

The aid that reaches any of the people will go to those who support the junta.

Lifting a population is a necessary first step toward overthrowing an oppressive regime.

Again, food is being used as a weapon.
It's always happening in Africa and this is no different.
I heard on the radio that China was urging their little friend to open up to western aid. By Chinese standards, I'd bet that means take everything they give you and lie you're ass off when asked.

In Africa and elsewhere, most military regimes fall when one wise general decides to get ride of the crazy military factions.

Can we punta this junta in the cunta already and get on with this! Just send in a Seal team to eliminate the top five in the regime with a warning to the rest to fuck off or your next (it's Burma for Chrissakes!). I can't stand these fucked up military dictatorships that put their own interests ahead of their dying people. Start with Burma and move on to Dumb Dick Jong in North Korea. Time's up for these a-holes.
