UN relief planes arrive in Burma, others set to follow

The first United Nations relief flights landed in Burma on Thursday, while American military planes stocked with aid waited for clearance from the Burmese government to land in the flood-ravaged country.

    When a country won't let aid in, or puts heavy restrictions on how, when and where it is delivered, you can be sure there is corruption, and the ruling elite are looking to get a big cut of whatever aid money and goods they can get their hands on.
