How come all these deadly viruses are coming from China.

    SARRS and so on..

What are they working on a new kind of warfare and testing it on the general public??

They get entrovirus every year here too. Different strains all the time, some worse than others, but essentially the disease is endemic in this part of the world. Part of the problem is that the Chinese don't understand quarantine, there have been news reports about the pediatric wards, even here in Taiwan, where all the kids are gathered together to watch TV in the common room, regardless if little Chin has a broken arm or is in being treated for the entrovirus. Another problem is that no matter how sick the kid is, most of the parents send them to school.....to infect everyone else. A few of my wife's co workers have gotten seriously ill that way, and there are no paid sick days for most.

At least THIS time they didn't wait to tell people until after it spread to Canada and such.

I reckon we should stop all immigration from China for say three years until the government figures it out.

For Christ's sake are you all illiterate. I said this is a virus that pops up in this region every spring and lasts until mid summer. EVERY F*CKING YEAR!! It's like influenza(which also starts here before going global), and those most at risk are children, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. Just like the flu, some strains, when they mutate, seem to be more virulent than others. Unlike the flu there really isn't a shot for it yet.

This a short blurb dealing with its incidence in the States.

Incidence (annual) of Enteroviruses: estimated 10-15 million cases annually in USA (DVRD)
Incidence Rate: approx 1 in 27 or 3.68% or 10 million people in USA [about data]
Incidence extrapolations for USA for Enteroviruses: 10,000,000 per year, 833,333 per month, 192,307 per week, 27,397 per day, 1,141 per hour, 19 per minute, 0 per second.

Prevalance of Enteroviruses: Non-polio enteroviruses are second only to the "common cold" viruses, the rhinoviruses, as the most common viral infectious agents in humans. The enteroviruses cause an estimated 10-15 million or more symptomatic infections a year in the United States.

Most adults write it off as a minor ailment. This isn't some plague from the bible, or worse some secret government lab, anymore than any other common virus is.

Take it easy Einstein, didn't even bother to read your post.

Just scanned down to the last one..

Canada still should beef up it's research and background checks on new immigrants, disease, criminal background checks are far to easy.

Comparatively speaking to other nations such as Germany and the United States, Canada immigration policy is very lacks.

My ex-wife immigrated to Canada and I did all the paperwork.

I personally went through the U.S. Process, so can compare the difference.

Canadian immigrants can acquire citizenship within 3 years after they have acquired a work permit (residency status) and the time spent here as a resident, 50% of that can be used towards the 3 year wait period.

I would like to see a 7 or 10 year requirement before one gets citizenship.

Because of aqua-culture and population. It's the relationship between bird, pigs, fish and humans that normally gives a virus or bacteria a jump from animal strain to human strain.

As well, China's rural population has limited access to medical facilities and treatments.

That's why you see so many new diseases coming from China.
