The proposed changes, which are included in a budget implementation bill, would allow the immigration minister to outline for department officials which skills are to be given priority when assessing immigrants' applications.

Judging from the number of Conservatives on this board who rave against all them imigrants I certainly wouldn't think that this news would have much to do with that decision, eh!

Wait times have TRIPLED in the past 2 years. Not since 2000, but in the past 2 years. You should have seen this coming. If I ran my business like you run your immigration offices, I would have been bankrupt.

Don't make it seem that this is something that "overwhelmed" you. Just hire more people. 4 immigration officers for 2500 files a year is not enough, you know...

Harper is going to loose if he tries immigration reform. It's going to be a disaster for him, he's going to totally loose the city vote in every major city perhaps excluding Calgary and Edmonton. He will hand Dion an easy victory that he doesn't deserve.

well i think its the opposition that wants to go to the polls over this , they introduced the confidence motion and would be the ones voting against the bill .

    It's actually spelled lose.

NooooooOOOooooooo, how can I repent without conducting any sexual favours.

And yes, Harper will hand Dion victory on a plate, the same way Tory handed McGuinty victory.
