deeply ashamed of sex scandal....the priests should have done a better job at covering it up, he said as he sat petting his tethered, naked, underaged alterboy.....

This scandal is all too logical: mixing a rigid chastity vow for priesthood with an interdiction of both pregnancies and abortions for unwed women give a lot of children in limbo.

funny in the Bible it says that religions that deny their members marriage and enforce a policy of no sex are false religions(1 Timothy 4:3). Bishops and Deacons were supposed to be married men who demonstrated they were good fathers and husbands and upstanding sober members of socety. But then Christianity started as a monotheistic religion, with strict prohibitions against idolatry, but has ended up otherwise.

A lot of stringent elements about sexuality in the Catholic Church come from the way by which Jesus was calling his disciples: Jesus was asking his disciples that they abandon everything to follow him.

what bible is that shepherdsdog? king james... the one written because Henry VIII wanted a divorce and broke with the catholic church to create the church of England? the bible has been transcribed and re written by many groups over the centuries that no one knows for sure what is biblical law or not.. it..
and benoit.. totally out there with your post.. christ said "' come follow me and I will make you fishers of men.. meaning you will save souls.. and give up what you have meaning do not build up tresures on earth..etc.. the gospel is the gospel..(words of Christ) the rest of the bible is written by the apostles.
and should we judge the many by one or two..? am I accountable for what my sons do.? no and neither is the Pope accountable for the priests.. and the bottom line is we are all human and we are not above failure..

No dumb ass, it's the same verse in all of the bibles. You really should have stayed in high school Kermit, as your knowledge of history is pathetic to the point of being humourous. Henry Tudor broke with Roman Church in 1534, forming the Church of England, and the King James Bible wasn't published until 1611. Seems there is a discrepancy of almost 80 yrs, but then the poor math is another result of you being a highschool dropout.

Before you go slamming the KJV maybe you should read a little more about it and its relevance from a scholarly POV. It is translated from Greek sources that predate the Latin Vulgate, that Catholics base their translations on. But just to rub it in, the verses regarding marriage of the Christian clergy are found there too.

The quality of the Bible's transcriptions is certainly better than the quality of your quotations.

aaahhh you religious freaks are really a trip you know that.

the truth is right infront of your eyes and you are so f*cking blind you can't see it.....the bible every word, written by MAN, YEARS, DECADES, CENTURIES after the events happened. Then you have the revisions, and different interpretations and the preasts and shit who decided to 'leave out' pieces of it because it didn't meld with the current dogmatic thinking of the time.

That freggen book has been changed so many times Harry Potter probibally has more truth in its paiges.

WAKE THE F*CK UP PEOPLE, the book is FECAL MATTER SPLASHED ON PAIGES WITH 'GODS CONSENT', full of contradictions, mythology, straight up bullshit and misinterpretations, the bible is like an early form of Wikipedia for the clergy, a little tweek here, a little mirical there, a big slice cut out of personal lives and anything that that personal scribe/group of scribes don't like, or can't translate properly or what have you.

man you people make me freggen laugh, lemmings, all of you lemmings.

The anger you display because some people believe is truly sad.

Keep in mind that some atheists are as intolerant of others as the religions they routinely accuse of the same behaviour.

Are you confusing the bible with your family history? The topic of discussion has nothing to do with the bible being the 'Word of God'.
