Last winter in Nunavut everyone was saying how it was the coldest winter in 100 years, when I left last week the locals were talking about how this winter is colder then last. -63 on x-mas eve at camp and they have hit -77 since then. 8O

Again today , all the shelters will have relaxed curfews, another outreach team will be out on the road overnight, drop-ins will have TTC tickets available for people to get to shelters if they're at a drop-in. And several organizations that work with homeless people will activate their own extreme cold weather plans," said Elaine Smyer, manager for emergency planning for the city.

yes those homeless people can be SO DAMN <---- note correct spelling

Are we going to go through this all over again?

Cold weather alerts are for homeless people.

Global warming doesn't mean winter instantly disappears. We're being affected by la Nina right now, which makes winters colder than usual. If this had been a winter ten years ago, the temperature would be more like -50C rather than -30C.

-30?! Whatever will we do? Call in the army, maybe they can make it warmer.
