Mixed reviews for NHL Skills Competition

why was nabokov poke checking st-louis's skills shoutouts?

some of the guys out there obviously weren't informed on the competition, i expect it to be much much better in the next years and for them to tweak the rules.

like for one, no poke checking! they should put a local goalie in and let the forwards do their thing

I thought overall it was pretty fun to watch. I agree that the break away could have been better, but if they do it next year, it'll be much better. Some guys only had one trick move planned cause they thought they were only getting one chance. Some of the guys had the right idea though and tried some pretty tough stuff. Plus I don't think the judges wad any type of guidelines to follow at all. Still was a pretty fun competition to watch.

I was pretty impressed for the most part, i wasn't really impressed with the fastest skater portion and i agree that the breakaway was kinda lame for the most part but i believe next year now that the players kow what it's all about its only gouing to get better and i can't wait to see what they come up with next year.

what really made me mad about the whole thing though was the commentators afterwads.. i can't remember who but one of them said it was good but "just think how much better it would have been if crosby was here"

to me that's just a slap in the face to any guy that was there having fun. why take away from what just went down by saying something stupid like that. we all know he's gonna be there (sadly) for amny years to come so why not just leave this year as it was.

I watched it, and I thought it was fun to watch these guys have fun. It was the first time for me, so I didn't really know what to expect...

Next year, I'll watch it again, definately!

oh i forgot about the young stars game.. i really enjoyed that too..
