Ice-jam in prince George in early december? Impossible....according to the IPCC, Al Gore, Suzuki.....the arctic is ice free so how could there be an ice jam in Prince George.

Maybe it's the smoke from all the burning crosses...........

Every time that get's brought up we are told it can't be done because the result would be unpredictable. However in the old days when people just did what had to be done without government interference that's what did the job.

OR maybe it's all the rubbish you spew here on a daily basis.

They could use explosives, but say they blew up 100m of a 5km ice-jam, it still leaves 4.9 km of ice that being a problem.

Trout unlimited did a lot of work on the crowsnest river years ago with boulders for the trout,it was great for the fish untill one year a warm spell caused the ice to flow and the river couldnt handle the velocity anymore so we broke out the backhoes. You had to do this slowly,it also causes major damage to the river but oh well. They never did put as many boulders back when they reclaimed it the second time.

Sounds like a job for a few CF-18s. Call it "practice".

In all seriousness this ice jam began over a week ago when the temperature reached a low of -29.
