If it turns out to be so, then the AGW alarmists will quietly omit it from the graphs they keep on dredging up.

Funny, a month ago the farmer's almanac said the same thing.

(presently 25 degrees F with wind feels like 10 degrees F here in KW and there has been 1 school bus cancelation this month )

It's about time we get a real winter again. About 10 years too late to stop the pine beetle, but what the hell. It just aint Canada without a few weeks of 40 below!!!!

It could still stop the pine beetle. But I think you have to have sustained temperatures at about 40 below (in mid-winter) or a sudden cold snap (at the start of winter) to do it.

Yep, all the pine trees here are already dead or diein. The beetles are into the young trees now cause they have no mature trees left to feed on. So much for that theory about mature trees only

The cold weather won't effect the obtuse GWs one iota. They will just blame that on CO2 as well----that's why they invented the term "climate change".

Things like observable evidence are meaningless in the face of a mindless political campaign.

Sorta funny getting upset about a phenomina (climate) that is constantly changing anyway. It's sort of like getting excited about sunsets.

The pine beetle BS was discredited a long time back due to it's invasion of northern areas that get so cold that boiling water freezes so fast the ice is still warm. The pine beetle is as much as a red herring as drowning polar bears.........

Hereabouts one wag predicted a cold winter because I had 16 cord of firewood inside for what is normally a 6 cord winter.
