There are significant tax cuts and no federal election in Canada's immediate future after the government's multi-billion dollar tax relief package passed easily in the House of Commons Wednesday.

    Again with the abstention?

Can someone remind me please, why Canadians are paying their wages?

The official opposition? More along the lines of the official blank spot.

Typical response from a conservative to care more about a couple of bucks than teh fact that Dion and his Liberals are crippling democracy in this country.

At least when the Alliance and PCs merged, a few members stood for their own beliefs and got kicked out into their own caucus. I can't believe that there isn't a single Liberal MP with the guts to say that Dion is failing in his duities and stands to vote one way or the other. At this point I don't give a rat's ass which way they vote as long as they fucking vote. This is pathetic.

Did he read it incorrectly, or is your brain just really small? Just wondering.

liberals forget to vote again , this is now no longer surprising or shocking .
guess the official oppostion could care less what passes now just as long as there is no election .

say maybe its a good time for the conservatives to look at finally dismantling the gun registry as liberals wouldn't bother to vote so they could maybe pass it .

You mean kind of like how the Conservatives abstained from voting on the budget in 2005, so as not to bring down the Liberals?

This is not new. But your inability to remember direct analogies shows your partisanship.

2 years is a long time isn't it. Did the Libs have 2 confidence votes in a row also?

Will you also extend that sentiment to the anti-Liberal pundits still bringing up Trudeau, let alone Chretien and Martin?
