Popular delivery app Uber Eats is branching out into delivering cannabis in B.C. But while the service promises a more convenient way of buying cannabis, it's unclear what effect — if any — its introduction will have on the provincial market
I've never experienced or heard of problems with cannabis stores, and they seem to be all over the place here. Seems the 'undesirable' can't afford retail weed.
The problem I see is getting mouthwash. The simple kind, just alcohol kind. Most stores around here either don't carry it, or have one bottle kept is a small case behind lock and key. All the other stuff is sweetened (artificially), so I don't use it. They do that because the 'unhoused' 'might' buy it. Never mind the bottles of Xao Xing wine in the Asian food aisle.
I just want some antibacterial and antimicrobial dental rinse!
We stormed the district office when they tried to pull that shit. I personally addressed Council that a weed store was the only retail business that could possibly be sustainable and provide a job or two after they'd spent their term ignoring the town turn to shit. We got our weed store and the Mayor and Council were all voted out in the next election. Unfortunately to be replaced by their brothers, wives, cousins etc.
I do know someone who orders online for it and it gets delivered though I'm not sure how (direct courier I think?)
There's not much point in having too many stores anyway. People can grow their own or "know someone" who does or has access.
