A mining corporation on Sunday apologized for losing a highly radioactive capsule over a 1,400-kilometre stretch of Western Australia, as authorities combed parts of the road looking for the tiny but dangerous substance.
With how dangerous these things are, it's kind of scary that this sort of event is pretty common. I can recall two times in Canada this same sort of thing has happened, and they never found the material.
You would think a radiation meter would find it easily.
