The Canada Revenue Agency says it will lock more than 800,000 taxpayers out of its online platform tomorrow after an investigation revealed that some usernames and passwords may have been obtained by "unauthorized third parties."
I'm glad I don't have an online account with CRA. Hackers always seem to find a way into Government-related platforms though you'd think they would have the best resistance against it.
No one breached the site. They checked the dark web for people selling usernames and passwords, and found these accounts may be using the same username or password as the ones being sold online.
