The Canadian dollar was little changed against its U.S. counterpart on Thursday, holding near its strongest level in nearly three years as global equity markets advanced and after the Bank of Canada left interest rates unchanged a day earlier.
79.18 cents? I remember back in 2006-2007 when the dollar was at par (or higher) than the U.S. dollar. 79 is nothing compared to that high, and for someone to get excited over it is very odd indeed.
Markets have been wonky since the beginning of the year. My own portfolio has been up and down in the last few weeks. Nothing to be happy about just yet until the dollar keeps on rising, and the markets rebound from what's been going on in the past while.
