A former soldier with PTSD is suing the federal government, accusing it of mishandling his case file and causing him to miss out up to $1,000 per month in benefits.
I'm guessing his case files were being cared for by one of the 900 frontline workers that Julian Fantino cut to save money?
On the plus side at least his office wasn't one of the 9 cut by Harper's gov't which makes me think that after that many cuts to VAC there are likely alot more vets in the same boat and who are wondering why nothing is happening with their files. Files likely languishing in long closed offices or destroyed in the rush to vacate the buildings.
With treatment like that, I can not imagine how young whipper-snappers could feel inspired to join the military today. Maybe that is the intent: decimation of our collective ability to defend ourselves.
