They've got to stop calling everyone who doesn't have a permanent residence as homeless because it muddies the water and makes it easier for the criminals and drug dealers to ply their trade with impunity while preying on the less fortunate.

So, while this might sound like a great idea, all it it will is turn into an all inclusive for the homeless, criminals and the mentally ill from all parts of America.

They actually need to put the criminals in jail, the drug addicts into forced rehab and the mentally ill into institutions and then when they get the situation under control they can start looking at "curing" homelessness because all this will do is turn part of California into another gov't sponsored ghetto like Cabrini Green or the Fredrick Douglass Apartments.

Also why do they get this fancy set up when others, who are going to pay for it, will live in an old apartment and pay rent every month

C'mon the why should "I" pay argument the day before Christmas?
Maybe if the people in mansions had to chip in a few bucks more it wouldn't be America's favorite complaint anymore.

No one in power, with wealth, or on the activist circuit gives a shit about the working poor. No one, period. They aren't a demographic that provides useful photo-ops, or loyally show up for the meaningless rallies, or one that helps propel an ideology further forward.

    FYI - BC rates

    Single on welfare $9120
    Poverty line $20000
    Low Income line (Vanc) $20998
    Min wage $28808
    Living wage $32323

2019 poverty line in the USA is $12490. OMG how could anyone survive on that little? Minimum wage in $US is almost double that!

For once I agree with you.

The Hollywood and Los Angeles Elites who use water with impunity while the rest are on rations, create more carbon than a small country, waste more resources than a swarm of locusts and still have time to lecture the rest of the planet about doing without so the world can be saved should be putting their fucking money where their never closed mouths are.

Yes why should I pay for someone to live in a newer and better home than I live in. Don't deflect just answer.

That is not how "they" define homeless in your source.

Be that as it may, this "city" plan is more sinister than these fake do-gooders pretend. These are glorified penitentiaries and labor camps.
