A man who spent four years in immigration detention, including more than two years in solitary confinement, has launched a $65-million lawsuit against the Canadian government for allegedly violating his Charter rights.

    Apparently in Canada past history that has zero bearing on the awarding of compensation. Omar Khadar got 10 million dollars despite the fact he participated in a terrorist organization and killed an American medic. And the reason was because, the SCoC ruled his "Charter Rights" had been violated because we didn't ensure and even participated in his torture (lack of sleep is apparently torture) in Gitmo.

    So given this guy is claiming charter violations there's a very good chance he'll get at least some of the money despite the fact he's a scum sucking theif and drug dealer because sadly a precedent was set with the Khadr case.

    Trudeau has set many precedents, sadly none of them have had a positive outcome.

    Of course if he says he heard voices then all bets are off.
