    When there is another earth to use as a test subject I might pay attention. Until then scientific method is out the window. Scientific method REQUIRES a control subject to compare results. Models and hypothethesis are worthless without a control subject.

    That's not how it works. You only need a control subject if you are trying to find the difference between two things. If you want to know about a single thing, all you have to do is record everything about it, and try to explain the data you record. A mathematical model that can predict the past, is equally likely to predict the future.
